Knowledge About Intake and Output Documentation among the Nursing Staffs of Dhulikhel Hospital

Introduction: Documentation of intake and output is written or electronically generated information about client’s all the fluid that goes into eliminated from patient’s body. Fluid balance monitoring documentation a challenging area in nursing practice, since patients’ management plan for surgery, renal, cardiac, acute gastrointestinal disease depends on nurse’s documentation, it hence medical ethical importance. Thus, we intend to assess knowledge among staff Dhulikhel Hospital.Materials Methods: A simple descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted 100 using stratified random technique. self-administered questionnaire used. T-test used comparison. Respondents’ analyzed by software SPSS 16.0. Results: This showed mean percentage score working Hospital 59.25%. There significant difference between respondents with Certificate Level Nursing Bachelor level (p= 0.008), Surgical Units Non-Surgical 0.001). Other variables like personal experience previous in-service education did not have any score.Conclusion: The findings suggested regarding average.
